The UNRACK 20KG Hybrid is a multi-use barbell designed for flexible training as you can perform olympic lifts, powerlifting and the entire variety of strength exercises. The shaft is crafted from aviation-grade stainless steel, meaning that it does not need to be coated with hard chrome, maintaining the gold standard feel, while also staying rust resistant for years to come. The sleeves are treated with our proprietary CHROME-FREE rust prevention technology.

It has a standard diameter of 28mm (±1%) and is designed for larger hands, and a longer length of 2.2m for larger proportions and load bearing capacity. It has a hand-finished passive-moderate volcano knurl that offers an optimal grip for higher repetition workouts. This barbell has moderate-high flex and is fitted with quality tested bronze bushings that meet international standards. It is available in two different finishes - a brushed gold or a polished silver, which can also be custom engraved.

This bar is for you because

  • You strength train for your sport i.e strength and conditioning

Each bar is made to precise specifications using cutting edge technology and materials. Whilst every bar we produce is built to withstand hard and heavy training, there are some simple things you, the user, can do to keep it in top shape and working order.

Training with your bar

  • Please never drop your bar while it is empty of weights. This could damage the sleeves and internal mechanisms and ultimately stop your bar performing properly
  • You will get the best longevity from your bar when using high quality plates (like our Unrack range for example) as the precision and fit will create less stress on the bar when lifting and dropping the barbell.

Cleaning your bar(s)

  • After each training session brush off any excess chalk with a nylon brush to prevent moisture collecting in the knurling and creating rust.
  • Your bar is designed to require minimal maintenance and care leaving you more time to train! After a few years of heavy training you should consider lubricating the sleeve bushings/bearings and gently cleaning the shaft with an oil product such as '3 in 1' or 'WD40'

Storing your bar(s)

  • Always unload your bar at the end of a training session. Leaving weights on a bar in a squat rack is the single worst thing you can do for this piece of kit
  • Unrack bars are made of high quality hardened steel but even the best materials need to be stored properly to prevent wear over time. If stored in a horizontal rack, be sure to use a softer material on the surface that touches the bar - plastic or wood are the best options.
  • Keep your bar dry; damp environments over a long period of time could cause rust - even on our highest quality stainless steel and plated bar shafts.
