Built for snatch and clean & jerk. Aviation-grade stainless steel shaft. 28 mm moderate grip. 100% made in India. Custom engraving available.

Crafted from aviation-grade stainless steel, the UNRACK 20KG weightlifting barbell is designed for olympic weightlifting training - i.e the Snatch and Clean & Jerk and all the derivatives in between. This type of stainless steel remains rust-resistant for years to come due to its anti-corrosion properties, while also having a gold standard feel as it does not need to be chrome plated. Its tensile and yield strength properties lends it an 800KG load capacity - meaning that it is remarkably resistant to permanent bending. The sleeves are treated with our proprietary CHROME-FREE technology ensuring rust prevention in the most humid environments.

It has a diameter of 28mm (±1%) within range of internal standards and offers a moderately-aggressive grip for weightlifting training having a 1.2 volcano knurl. It also features a centre ghost knurl for more grip on a heavy back squat, without scraping your neck in a clean. This barbell has needle bearings to allow for greater spin. It is available in a polished silver. Custom engraving available.

Each bar is made to precise specifications using cutting edge technology and materials. Whilst every bar we produce is built to withstand hard and heavy training, there are some simple things you, the user, can do to keep it in top shape and working order.

Training with your bar

  • Please never drop your bar while it is empty of weights. This could damage the sleeves and internal mechanisms and ultimately stop your bar performing properly
  • You will get the best longevity from your bar when using high quality plates (like our Unrack range for example) as the precision and fit will create less stress on the bar when lifting and dropping the barbell.

Cleaning your bar(s)

  • After each training session brush off any excess chalk with a nylon brush to prevent moisture collecting in the knurling and creating rust.
  • Your bar is designed to require minimal maintenance and care leaving you more time to train! After a few years of heavy training you should consider lubricating the sleeve bushings/bearings and gently cleaning the shaft with an oil product such as '3 in 1' or 'WD40'

Storing your bar(s)

  • Always unload your bar at the end of a training session. Leaving weights on a bar in a squat rack is the single worst thing you can do for this piece of kit
  • Unrack bars are made of high quality hardened steel but even the best materials need to be stored properly to prevent wear over time. If stored in a horizontal rack, be sure to use a softer material on the surface that touches the bar - plastic or wood are the best options.
  • Keep your bar dry; damp environments over a long period of time could cause rust - even on our highest quality stainless steel and plated bar shafts.
